Claire wanted to go to M.I.T with her best friend Liz but her parents wanted her closer to them, so she got shipped off to Morganville at the age of 16 where she went to the Morganville collage where she thought that nothing in her life could go wrong until a girl named Monica started bullying Claire because she corrected Monica's mistake but what Claire didn't know was that " Morganville was a town run by vampires".

Shane created a strong reaction to Claire because she was underage to live with them but also Eve asked him if it was alright with Shane if Claire can move in and all Shane sad was, "Yeah, whatever, I don't care" then said "But I'm not the only one she has to ask, she has to ask the owner with is Michael". When Claire asked Michael he said, "No sorry I can't have an underage teenager living here, I've already to two that I have to look after, I'm sorry but the answer is no."

That Claire didn't give up on wanting to live in the Glass House, so she said to Michael, "How much?". He looked at her and said, "What?". Claire said, "How much to live here?" then she pulled out her wallet and handed over three hundred dollars and Claire said, "Would three hundred dollars be enough?". In the end Michael gave up and let her live in the Glass House when she started finding more things about Morganville.
