This book is a tale about a dog Buck who is neither house dog nor kennel dog but a dog who made his home his realm. On a memorable night Buck as unsuspecting as he was had been removed from his home and lead through the orchard where he was sold to the Saloon Keeper, a dog trader. Cruelty then caved in upon him as he was surrounded by those he did not care. When John Thornton becomes Bucks new master he becomes some what of a saviour. Buck remains loyal and stands by Johns side, protecting him wherever he may go. When tragedy strikes Bucks instincts kick in and the wild calls.
I would recommend this book for seniors as it is a level 2 reading log level. The language used in this book can be sophisticated.
This book was recommended to me by Merry; The Plot begins with gripping detail that makes you want to read on...
